Covid-19 Rebook/Refund Information

 

If your arrival date is between March 23, 2020, and May 31, 2020, and you booked through the Villa SeaRenity Website

    

RESCHEDULE (please consider rescheduling)

AVAILABLE DATES

 

  • If  there is a rate difference between your original dates and the new dates the following will apply:

 

  • If the daily rate you paid for your current booking is MORE than the daily rate for your new dates you will receive a refund for the difference or you may apply the difference toward an additional housekeeping visit during your stay.

 

  • If the daily rate you paid for your current booking is LESS than the daily rate for the new dates you will be charged 50% of the difference in the daily rate

  • EXAMPLE (taxes/housekeeping fees not included in example)

    Current booking daily rate is  $225.00 per night, you are staying for 5 nights booking rate for your stay = $1,125.00.  

    The new booking daily rate is $355.00 per night you are staying for 5 nights booking rate for the new dates = $1,175.00

    The difference between the rates for 5-night stay = $650.00

    You will pay 50% of the difference = $325.00

    The rate for new dates 5 night stay = $1,450.00 (taxes/cleaning fee not included)

The initial booking payment will be held as the first payment for your rescheduled dates.  The balance will be due 60 days prior to arrival.  

 

If you cancel and receive a refund all new bookings will be charged at the posted rate with no discount.

 

REFUND

 

If rescheduling your trip is not an option for you at this time please let me know and I will process a refund.  Your refund will include your rate for the number of nights booked, taxes and housekeeping.  Per the Villa SeaRenity contract, Villa SeaRenity withholds the 3% credit card processing fee as this amount is not refunded to us when a refund is processed.  Due to

extenuating circumstances, Villa SeaRenity is splitting this amount and absorbing 1.5% of the credit card processing fee loss.  

 

If you are requesting a refund please be aware it may take up to 14 days for the amount to post to your credit card statement.

 

If you paid by cashiers check you will receive a refund check in the mail.

 

    

If your arrival date is between March 23, 2020, and May 31, 2020, and you booked through the VRBO/HomeAway

If you wish to reschedule the process will involve canceling your original reservation through VRBO/HomeAway. You will receive a refund from VRBO/HomeAway for the first payment which was made through their platform.  If your second payment has already been made through Villa SeaRenity that payment will become your first payment for your new dates and your second payment will be rescheduled to be collected by Villa SeaRenity 60 days prior to your arrival.  VRBO/HomeAway sent an email to property owners stating they will refund the VRBO/HomeAway service fee guests paid at the time of booking but please keep in mind I have no control over VRBO/HomeAway.  This process will move your booking to a direct booking with Villa SeaRenity and out of the VRBO/HomeAway platform.  By canceling through VRBO/HomeAway and rebooking your new dates through Villa SeaRenity you will avoid paying the VRBO/HomeAway service fee.

REFUND

 

If you are outside the 60-day cancelation window you should request to cancel through your HomeAway account.  You will receive a full refund of the rent, taxes and the HomeAway Service Fee.  The second payment which is scheduled to be processed through Villa SeaRenity will be cancelled and the security deposit reserve scheduled to be placed on your credit card one day prior to your arrival will also be cancelled.  If you are close to the 60 day cancelation window PLEASE take care of this ASAP as to avoid extra steps in processing the refund.

 

If you are inside the 60-day cancelation window you must let me know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel, there are specific steps VRBO/HomeAway is requiring us to follow in order for you to receive a refund of the VRBO/HomeAway service fee along with the first payment.  The refund for your second payment which was made directly with Villa SeaRenity will be processed by Villa SeaRenity NOT by VRBO/HomeAway.  Per the Villa SeaRenity contract Villa SeaRenity withholds the 3% credit card processing fee as this amount is not refunded to us when a refund is processed.  Due to extenuating circumstances Villa SeaRenity is splitting this amount and absorbing 1.5% of the credit card processing fee loss. 

 

It may take up to 14 days for the credit from Villa SeaRenity to post to your credit card account.  

 

Villa SeaRenity has NO CONTOL over how long it will take VRBO/HomeAway to process your refund.

 

REMEMBER for VRBO/HomeAway Cancelations within 60 days of arrival - you will receive your refund in two separate transactions.  

  • One refund for your first payment and the VBRO/HomeAway service fee will be processed and refunded by VRBO/HomeAway

  • An additional refund for the second payment will be processed by Villa SeaRenity

 

 

Bookings with arrival dates between June 1, 2020 - July 31, 2020

 

At this time Villa SeaRenity is not offering refunds for travel dates with an arrival date between June 1, 2020, and July 31, 2020.  You are welcome to rebook alternate dates.  Of course we are continually monitoring the situation and will adjust our policy as necessary.  We are changing your final payment due date to 30 days prior to arrival date rather than 60 days prior to arrival.  Please let me know if you would like to rebook.*

Bookings with arrival dates on or after August 1, 2020

  

At this time Villa SeaRenity is not offering refunds for bookings with arrival dates on or after August 1, 2020.  You are welcome to rebook alternate dates.  Please let me know if you would like to rebook.*

*If rebooked dates fall under a higher seasonal rate the guest will pay 50% of the difference between the current rate and the amount of the new rate.  If the rebooked dates fall under a lower seasonal rate the guest may apply the difference to an additional housekeeping visit during their stay or receive a refund for the difference.
